Together in Isolation

The contradictions of vicinity and lonliness

With abundance, we lose the appreciation and value in what we have. With an abundance of people around us, we lose the appreciation in human interactions. Slowly, drifting further from our connections, we grow lonely. No place lonelier than a bustling city. No place closer than the vast countryside.

In photography, we capture what resonates with us. Unknowingly, we look outward towards the world seeking validation that we are not alone in what we are feeling. Feeling lonely, I set out to capture what I felt, hoping to capture others with the same sense of loneliness.
