Power of Obsession.

Obsesion is a powerful bundle of negative emotions that leads to positve outcomes. LIingering in our subconscious minds lies a constant desire. Plaguing my mind most days is the constant regret that i should have prioritized the desire to do certain activities over others. Sunny days while i’m out at work makes me think that i should have taken vacation days just to go shoot. The feeling of anger that overwhelms us when we are not able to attain the desired outcome.

For myself particularly, the idea that negative emotions consume much more energy to manifest itself, the presence of itself is a sign that we are putting a lot of energy into the desitre. Be it, the feeling of anger that overwhelms us when we are not able to attain the desired outcome or the frustration we feel. If we can get angry, it means we care. By paying attention to the things we pay attention to, we find our place in this world.

Active observation

Whatever it iFinding a theme that i like to capture around people taking off footwear for little to no reason as a trigger to take photos. Knowing that the trigger is there, and removing this experience solely from just living in the subconscious, we can bring this into the active part of the brain and actively search for it, getting overall better resultss, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Mental practice

Always dreaming of taking certain shots and compositions, but restricted by the conditions and chance, we start dreaming, always trying to chase that dragon. In our heads, constantly rehearsing and thinking how we can create such opportunities for the stars to align. Just the constant thought of chasing that high, we review past works and opportunities and look for patterns, solutions. That constant thought has consumed so much time it would have been equivalent to practice.

Talent is merely obsession presented to uninvolved parties that do not see the effort in time and thought put behind their work. Of course there is innate talent that gives a generous baseline to the things we do. But to carry anything further, practice both physical and mentally is required to polish its quality.
